In this format, you can give reputation points or negatives by clicking on the scale above the post.
The reciever will see who left the rep and you can leave a comment, including smilies.
Have fun and be nice. :lol

The scale is right above the post in the blue line next to the number.
You can see your comments in your user profile.

Click on the scale. It will bring up "I approve" and "I disapprove". Select one. There's a spot for a comment.

I have a rep question as well. When I clicked on the scale it said that I have 20 rep points. Where are they? Is there some place I'm supposed to be able to see them?
Kristie
03-21-2007, 03:54 PM
FM, click on User CP. You should be able to see them there.
flowermom
03-21-2007, 03:57 PM
Okay, I did and it only shows one comment. Is each one worth 20 points? I'm so confused...:lol
JenAdmin
03-21-2007, 04:12 PM
The points given depends on the rank and reputation of the giver.
I'm sorry, but I'm lost on the error. I don't know that much. :lol Maybe it's a pop-up blocker issue? :shrug Maybe your settings are too high.
Gisele are you clicking on the scale on the upper right hand side of the posts?
Gisele
03-21-2007, 06:47 PM
yep clicking onthe right one.
still doing it.
grrr.
JenAdmin
03-22-2007, 05:11 PM
Dh says he thinks it is your pop-up blocker. Can you set it to allow pop ups from this site?
Renee
03-22-2007, 07:49 PM
I'm getting quite addicted to giving rep points too. I didn't realize that your rep mattered when you gave rep points!
Gisele
03-22-2007, 08:39 PM
will tell dh to fix that for me . thanks.
Gisele
03-22-2007, 08:50 PM
I think this might be fixed. thanks.

OK...how does one get a reputation around here? I want one!!
Christie
04-10-2007, 07:02 PM
Okay, so why would you give someone reputation, would it be for something they said that was helpful to you or just because you liked them ?
Kristie
04-10-2007, 07:57 PM
You can rep someone for whatever reason you want. :)
Renee
04-10-2007, 09:02 PM
Has anyone figured out how many people you have to give rep to before you can give it to someone again?
Kristie
04-10-2007, 09:09 PM
Apparently more than a couple. :shrug
CurlyQAdmin
04-10-2007, 10:28 PM
If rep means you're well-liked I'm unloved. If it means that you've made a good post, well that I can live with. :lol
Globetrotter
04-10-2007, 11:47 PM
I find all of this confusing. I like everyone here and if I feel they need a hug or support I do that in my post.
CurlyQAdmin
04-11-2007, 10:49 AM
I don't think it matters Globetrotter. It comes with the VB set up, you can use it or not, and no one here need take it personally IMO. :)

JenAdmin

I like and use it more with debates because I don't want to be the fourth person to just agree with a point someone has made.
Kubby
04-12-2007, 12:12 AM
And speaking of reputation, how come CurlyQ "has much to be proud of", Jen's dh "has a reputation beyond repute", and Jen is only "on a distinguished road?" How many rep points does one need to move up, anyway? And what is "up"?
Is someone cheating here? inquiring minds want to know! :lol
chrianna
04-12-2007, 12:13 AM
lol, have you seen yours, kubby? it says something like you'll become famous soon enough. :lol
Kristie
04-12-2007, 12:14 AM
I'm confused by the "rankings" too. Apparently, I'll "be famous soon enough." :shrug
Kubby
04-12-2007, 01:05 AM
And what does that mean? I'll have ya know I'm famous already, just ask my hordes of adoring fans!:snob
lvkelly
04-12-2007, 01:10 AM
How do you check rankings? This is new to me.
never mind. I checked out the members' list.
chrianna
04-12-2007, 01:16 AM
kelly stick your cursor on your green dot in the upper right hand corner. apparently you're on a distinguished road . . .
Kristie
