View Full Version : A few rules....

We don't have many here because we're all adults. Say what you like, but expect the community to call you on it if you're being a jerk. :lol
We're not a touchy feely site where you will be given a hug if you're making a really poor decision. More likely you'll be given a gentle kick in the pants and :bat. As long as we're respectful of each other, we'll have no need to move or lock threads.
Because we discuss financial and personal matters, privacy is an issue. What is read here is meant for this site- not fodder for gossip elsewhere.
If you have any questions, please PM CurlyQ, Monique or Jen.
Thanks and welcome!

Wondering whether replying to this thread will make it show up on "new posts."
I think these rules are great, Jen!

I agree they're great. :) Jen's a rockstar yanno...
Even though it's not a debate site, feel free to state your differing opinion. I recently posted a thread where people had many differing opinions and it is much more interesting than if everyone just agreed with me!

I have to agree that Jen does rock!
And the Rules are perfect! Please don't prune me!

I could use a little pruning in the abdominal area... :lmao
I'm a grown up and I don't mind differing opinions.

so a minumum of 4 posts... a month. hmmmmmmmmm. :thud
can we be a little touchy feely. everyone needs a hug.... or a kick in the pants sometimes............ both work.
serously . love the rules. and for being upfront about stuff.

I always forget to go to page 1 if you are on page 2 of responses, so good thing I wondered what you were talking about and saw I was on page 2. Wouldn't want to get kicked off for nonactivity.

Got to agree--the rules are great. And like WM, I particularly like the pruning one, too. Gee, I hope I meet my quota!

I don't mind infrequent posting, but when people never post ever I get nervous about revealing all our financial issues. :paranoid

Jen: you and me both! That's why I like that rule so much.

I like all the rules. I do sometimes go more than a month without posting, so a little concerned there - but I'll try to post a little during the busy times and not drop off completely.

Sounds great Jen. I also like the "pruning"- I like knowing how many of our now 90 some members really are active.

One quick question about the pruning. Does that mean the account will be closed if you don't post at least 4 times a month? Will there be a note before that happens?
Sorry, I guess that was 2 questions actually!

So if I quadruple post this, I'm ok for the next month..........just joking. :) I'll try to pop in reasonably often.

I'm thinking we'd send a note before making it inactive. I'm not wanting anyone to be pruned! :lol

I think thats a good idea to send a note first...I know life gets in the way sometime but we all want to feel comfortable with who is reading about our everday lives.

I think those rules are very reasonable. I am not a huge poster but I know I will have no problems posting more than 4 times a month. :)
Melissa - I"m giggling at the smilie for your son. That is exactly the smilie I would pick for a little boy at his age. LOL

Yep. I'm not comfy with lurky loos reading my private info. I like knowing there's give and take among board members going on. :)

I agree Mommykins. Also, I think we all have something to contribute once in a while, so why not share it? It makes us more comfortable with one another and the boards more interesting.

:wave Hi new and old friends!
Life gets in the way for all of us sometimes (like this week, well MONTH, for me has been crazy!), but please do pop in and let us know how you are doing or if we can help. :)
JenAdmin

Update: We will no longer be sending out a note while pruning. If your access has been turned off and you'd like to jump back in, please follow the contact us information to have your account reactivated.
Also, we are aware of several accounts with two names. From this point on, any account found by ISP to have more than one name attached will have both banned.
Seriously, we don't want the drama.
